Are you a British Columbia resident who fancies a shot at becoming a millionaire? Then why not try your luck at the BC49 lottery game, which gives you a chance at winning $2 million for only $1 per ticket? The game is administered by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC), with much of the proceeds from its gaming activities going towards projects intended to enrich lives in communities throughout BC. For 2009/10 alone, BCLC distributed some $1,070 million to the provincial government, with $649 million directed to consolidated revenue for public service programs such as education and health care.
To play BC/49, simply choose six numbers from 1 to 49 on a play area of a selection slip, or you can choose the Quick Pick option to get a randomly-selected combination. Draws are held twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. During the drawing, six numbers plus a seventh bonus number are drawn. The player wins the grand prize of $2 million if their combination matches all six numbers drawn. If they match five numbers plus the bonus number, they win $75,000. Minor prizes include $750 for matching five numbers, $75 for matching four numbers, $10 for matching three and $5 for matching two. You can also play up to ten consecutive draws in advance through the Advance Buy option, or purchase a BC/49 Lottery Subscription so you can bet for 26, 52 or 104 draws in advance. Indian matka
The grand prize of BC/49 is fixed at $2 million and does not grow if the jackpot is not won. The total liability for the second prize of $75,000 is limited to $450,000 or the equivalent of six winners. This means that if more than six players win the second prize, instead of winning $75,000 each, they will share $450,000 equally.
For an additional $1, you can also play the Extra game along with BC/49. In this game, a four number combination ranging from 1 to 99 is randomly selected by machine and automatically printed on your ticket; however the number will not be eligible for a drawing unless you opt-in. To activate the number, simply mark yes on the play area of the play slip or request it from the clerk when playing the Quick Pick option; each combination costs $1. You can play an Extra number for each BC/49 combination you play. The grand prize is $500,000 if you successfully match four numbers. Minor prizes are $1,000 if you match three numbers; $10 for matching two; and $1 for matching one. Draws for Extra numbers are held along with BC/49 drawings.
You can also play BC49 lottery and Lotto 6/49 games simultaneously by marking BOTH Lotto 6/49 and BC/49 on your play slip; each ticket costs $3. You can select your own combination or ask for a randomly-selected combination through the Quick Pick option. There are a wide range of other options available for combining the games, ranging from the Mini Dip, which makes a Quick Pick for BC/49, Lotto 6/49 and one Extra combination for $4 per ticket, to the Double Dip of three Quick Pick selections for BC/49 and Lotto 6/49 plus one Extra combination for $10 per ticket.
